The problem
Email gets buried during a live, multi-day conference. A schedule change, a room swap, a last-minute notice — none of it reaches an attendee fast enough through an inbox nobody checks between sessions. This client’s attendees needed a channel they’d actually see in real time. Staff, in turn, needed a way to answer an individual attendee’s question without handing out a personal phone number.
The approach / solution
- Built bulk WhatsApp sending with a rich-text editor, so staff push one broadcast update to the full attendee list or a filtered segment of it.
- Built a full conversation view alongside the bulk tool, so a staff member can see and reply to an individual attendee’s messages directly inside the account, rather than through a personal number.
- Wired both features into the same registration record the account’s wallet-pass and flight-sync tools already read from.
Outcome / result
WhatsApp messaging runs in production for this client today, covering the one-to-many broadcast case and one-to-one attendee conversations under the same account.
Why it matters for enterprise event-tech
Attendees respond to WhatsApp faster than email during a live event. A proper conversation view keeps that channel professional and keeps the full message history logged on the account for whoever picks it up next.
