AI use

Our approach
We use AI tools to work faster and to try more ideas. We do not use them to replace judgement. A person at SR Web Studio is responsible for everything we deliver.
This page explains what we use, what we do not share with AI tools, and what you can ask of us.
Questions or requests: support@srwebstudio.com.
What we use
Depending on the project, we may use:
- AI coding assistants, for example Claude, ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot-style tools, to draft code, explain code, write tests and find bugs.
- AI writing assistants, to draft and edit text, documentation and release notes.
- Image and video models, for creative work such as concept images, visuals and motion.
The tools we use change over time. We pick them for quality and for how they treat data.
A person checks the work
- A person reads every change before it goes into your project.
- We run and test the code. We do not ship code we have not understood.
- We check text for accuracy and tone. We fix claims that are wrong.
- We follow the same standards and review steps as for work done without AI.
AI can make mistakes. Human review is how we catch them. It does not remove the risk completely, which is why we test.
What we do not put into AI tools
Unless you give us permission for the project, we do not paste the following into AI tools:
- secrets and credentials, such as passwords, API keys, tokens and private keys
- personal data about you, your staff or your customers
- private code or other non-public material that you gave us under confidentiality
If we need to use AI on something sensitive, we ask you first. You can say no. If you say yes, we tell you which tool we plan to use, and we use the safest option we can.
When we use AI for general problems, for example “how do I do this in a framework”, we describe the problem without your private details.
Tools that do not train on our inputs
We prefer tools and plans that do not train their models on what we send. We check the settings when we set a tool up. We cannot control how a third-party company runs its service, and the terms can change. That is one more reason we keep sensitive material out.
Who owns the output
The output we deliver to you is part of the deliverables. You own it to the same extent as any other deliverable, once you have paid in full. See our Terms.
The law on AI-made material is still developing, and differs by country. In some places, work made mostly by AI may have weaker copyright protection. We cannot promise how a court in your country would treat it. Human design and editing are part of our process, which helps.
Images and video made with AI
- If you ask, we label AI-generated images and video as such.
- We check them for obvious rights problems, for example a real person’s likeness, a known brand or logo, or a style copied too closely from a named artist.
- We cannot give a full legal clearance. If a piece will be used in a sensitive way, such as advertising a product, tell us, and we can talk about how to handle it.
- We do not make misleading images or video of real people.
Your choice
You can ask us not to use AI on your project, or to limit it to some parts, such as no AI for code that touches payments. Tell us at the start, or at any time. We will follow it, and we will say if it changes the scope or timing. Put it in writing and we will add it to the agreement.
You can also ask which tools we used on your project. We will tell you.
Open source and licences
AI tools may suggest code that looks like open-source code. We check licences for any package we add, and we keep licence notices where the licence requires them. If you have rules about licences, tell us.
Changes
We update this page when our practice changes. The date at the top shows the last update. If the change affects a running project, we will tell you.
