The problem
This association’s Swoogo registration form offered a member rate and a non-member rate side by side. Nothing on the form confirmed which one actually applied — a registrant just picked whichever price looked right.
The approach / solution
Built a JavaScript check that runs the moment the registration form loads. It queries the association’s own external membership system for the registrant’s status and surfaces the result right there on the Swoogo page, before the pricing gets locked in.
Outcome / result
The check runs live on this client’s registration form today. One file, doing one job: confirm membership before the rate sticks.
Why it matters for enterprise event-tech
A member rate nobody verifies is really just an honor system. A check this small is usually the difference between pricing that holds and pricing that quietly leaks revenue over a few hundred registrations.
