The problem
This client’s microsite wasn’t built around a single event with a start date and an end date. It’s a running content channel for laboratory professionals, publishing new sessions on an ongoing schedule. A one-off themed page wouldn’t hold up across that. The brand needed a real, reusable system underneath it: consistent tokens, a defined palette, and page templates that would still look right on session ten as much as session one.
The approach / solution
- Defined a full set of design tokens from the client’s own brand references: color values, spacing, type.
- Built a landing-page template and a standard-page template so new content could go live without a fresh design pass every time.
- Compiled a production stylesheet from those tokens and applied it across the account.
- Built the entire system inside Swoogo’s native Twig templating and theme layers, since that’s the only path its page builder allows.
Outcome / result
The channel now runs on a design system built to last past any single piece of content: tokens, palette, and templates that hold up whether it’s the first session published or the fiftieth.
Why it matters for enterprise event-tech
A life-sciences brand publishing to its own professional audience on an ongoing basis can’t afford a microsite that looks freshly designed for six months and dated after that. A real design system, not a one-time theme pass, is what keeps a recurring content channel looking consistent as it grows.
