The problem
A registrant paying for several people at once with a discount code has no way, by default, to see what that code actually took off each person’s line. Swoogo’s own registration summary, invoice, and confirmation pages show a final total and stop there.
The approach / solution
- Built a JS snippet that reads each registrant’s discount code inside the group-registration summary and injects two extra columns — Price Before Discount and Discount — computing the per-row amount live as the form renders.
- Carried the same breakdown through to the invoice and confirmation pages, relabeling Swoogo’s own headers to match the client’s own pricing language: Unit Price to Course Fee, Net to Sub-Total, Gross to Total.
- Delivered as a snippet running directly on the client’s existing Swoogo pages, so there’s no separate discount-management screen to log into.
Outcome / result
Group registrants now see a line-by-line discount breakdown across the summary, invoice, and confirmation pages, in the client’s own pricing terms, without leaving the Swoogo registration flow. It’s a small tool, closing one specific gap in the default group-registration display.
Why it matters for enterprise event-tech
Not every fix needs to be a platform. Sometimes the thing that actually annoys registrants and support staff is one missing column on a summary page — and building that fix inside the platform itself, rather than working around it with spreadsheets or manual invoice corrections, is what keeps a Swoogo account running smoothly.
