The problem
A registration count tells a trade-show organizer how many people showed up. It says nothing about which booths actually got traffic and which sat empty all day.
The approach / solution
- Built a heatmap module that takes booth-visit data and renders it as a visual map of the show floor.
- Wired it to the same booth and visit data already flowing through the client’s Swoogo account, so the heatmap reflects real activity instead of a separate tracking system bolted on afterward.
Outcome / result
The heatmap runs in production, giving this client’s organizers a floor-traffic view that standard registration reporting never gave them.
Why it matters for enterprise event-tech
Exhibitors pay for booth space expecting visibility into what that space actually earned them in foot traffic. A heatmap answers that directly, on top of whatever CRM or AMS sync depth the account already has.
