The problem
A tour operator’s catalog never sits still. Season pricing changes. The ARS/USD conversion shifts. The featured tour of the month rotates. The client needed to own that content workflow directly, instead of filing a ticket for every price or itinerary change. The site had to market and support booking for curated multi-day itineraries and corporate travel packages across southern Argentina and Chile — El Calafate, El Chaltén, Torres del Paine, Ushuaia — while staying maintainable by the operator’s own non-developer team through peak and off-season swings.
The approach / solution
- Built the marketing and booking site on Nuxt.js, Tailwind, and TypeScript, with a Strapi CMS behind it, so the operator’s own team manages tours, pricing, and availability without developer involvement for every seasonal update.
- Handled dual-currency pricing (ARS/USD) so travelers see costs in both local currency and US dollars, a practical requirement for a catalog marketed across borders.
- Gave the operator direct control over a featured-this-month tour rotation, plus WhatsApp-based contact, since that’s where this kind of travel business actually closes bookings.
Outcome / result
As of the most recent check, the site is live and active. Current-season pricing shows in both local currency and USD. The featured-this-month tour rotation is live. WhatsApp-based contact integration is working. Together, that’s a real, maintained production booking site still running the business day to day.
Why it matters for enterprise buyers
The deliverable here wasn’t just a website. It was operational independence: a non-technical team running its own CMS through constant seasonal and currency changes. That’s what makes a marketing-and-booking site survive contact with a live business, built around the client’s actual workflow rather than a one-time launch.
