Interactive 3D exploded view
A product that breaks into parts, with labels, details and scroll-driven motion.
Concept demo · Halden RoamHalden Roam is made up. The demo is live and runs in your browser.
What you get
What is included.
This is for products that sell on what is inside: electronics, hardware startups, tools, machines and furniture. Your customers pull the product apart in their browser, turn it around and tap any part to see what it does.
We build with three.js, so it runs on phones and laptops with nothing to install. If your model is one solid piece, we can split it in Blender.
- An exploded view that opens with one click or a slider
- Labels that follow each part as the model turns
- Tap a part to highlight it and show its details
- A scroll-driven explode on your product page, with GSAP
- Embeds for Shopify, WordPress, Webflow or a custom site
- Model splitting, cleanup and compression, so it stays fast
What we did before
Our own demo, live in your browser.
Halden Roam is a concept product page we built for a fictional portable speaker. Visitors pull it apart with a slider, turn it around and tap any part, like the drivers or the battery, to see what it does. It is concept work: the product and its specs are made up, and the demo is live so you can try it. We have no client project to show for this service yet.
How it works
Four steps, in plain terms.
01
You send your product
The parts you want to show and where the view will live.
02
We check your CAD or 3D files
You hear what is realistic before we start.
03
We prepare the model first
Every part separate, and you see the explode in the browser early.
04
We add labels and details, then hand over
Embedded or deployed, tested on phones.
FAQ
Common questions.
I only have CAD files from our engineers. Can you use them?
Yes. We convert them, cut the detail down for the web and keep each part separate so it can move. Hidden screws and tiny parts can be left out to keep it fast.
My 3D model is one solid piece. Is that a problem?
Not always. We can split a model into parts in Blender. If the inside is not modelled, we can build simple inner parts from your specs. You hear what is possible before we start.
Will it work on phones?
Yes. On small screens the labels move into a card under the model, and the camera pulls back so every part fits. We test on a normal phone, not only a fast laptop.
How many parts can it show?
As many as help the story. More parts mean more model work. Simple views have a handful of parts, and bigger ones can show many more.
Can I edit the part names and details later?
Yes. Part names, labels and descriptions are kept in one simple file, separate from the 3D code, and the handover note shows how to change them.
How is this different from a configurator?
A configurator lets customers change colours and options before they buy. An exploded view shows what is inside your product and how it is built.
